Leah Clark is a singer/songwriter based in the Tampa Bay area. Her vocal style encompasses many genres - pop, jazz, country, r&b, classic and hard rock.

Leah studied classical vocal performance at the University of South Florida under Annetta Monroe. She was lead vocalist for the jazz ensemble The Bookends in the early 1990's. Since then, she has performed with The Journey Band as one of several vocalists (various styles), as a guest vocalist with the Crystal Blue band (classic rock), as lead female vocalist for the Dogtrax Band (hard and classic rock), and lead female vocalist for the Standing 8 Count Jazz Ensemble. She is currently female vocalist/percussionist for the duo Acoustic Harmony (popular music of the 60's-90's as well as original material).

Leah is a staff songwriter for the Songs of Love organization (songsoflove.org), which provides custom songs for children with terminal illnesses. She writes the lyrics, composes the music, records and produces the songs in her home studio.

The Tampa Unity Music Ministry is exciting, original and diverse.

Our Music Team creates an inspirational blend of spirit filled traditional music with the latest in spirit raising New Thought and original songs.

Tampa Unity's choir is over 80 years old and can be heard singing anything from gospel to Mendelssohn to pop music arrangements.

All of our Music Team strive for an ever-increasing level of excellence and a good variety of musical expression. But their highest goal is to have fun making music that lifts our spirits!

Our 'Boys in The Band', bass player Greg King and percussionist Alvon Griffin add great energy to our services. Both are accomplished, mature musicians with the ability to assimilate new material quickly. The band enjoys accompanying choir pieces, solo songs and playing instrumental arrangements as well.

Alvon Griffin is also the host of Outside The Box on Tampa Bay's excellent Community Radio Station WMNF 88.5.  To listen to Alvon's show click here and scroll down to Friday's Most Recent Show!

At Tampa Unity, we regularly feature the talented members of our congregation who perform wonderful solo pieces our join in with our choir and band for some truly magical moments.

Each year the Music Ministry gives a special concert featuring the best of our choir and band pieces plus performances by many members of our congregation. The show can range from a classical violin piece to hilarious musical comedy to the spirit filled spoken word.

Our Music Ministry at Tampa Unity enjoys the admiration and support of our congregation. We recently conducted a survey to gage how pleased our congregation is with the music and our team. With an overwhelming number of responses, our Music Ministry scored an impressive 8.5 on a 1-10 scale!
