VALENTINES FOR SHUT-INS
PLEASE REMEMBER OUR HOUSE-BOUND MEMBERS ON
VALENTINES DAY with a cheerful note or card. It is
so easy to do and means a great deal to someone
who can not be out and about. Just stop by the
table in Fellowship Hall. Cards, envelopes and lists of
recipients are all there for you. You don’t even need
to lick a stamp because we will drop them in the mail
during the week.
If you have someone you would like to add to the
list, just give their name to Clara in the bookstore.
And, donations of cards or notepaper are always
welcome.
Take a moment of your time to brighten someone’s
Valentine’s Day by letting them know they are
remembered by their Tampa Unity Family.

PEACEFUL SEASON,
PEACEFUL WORDS
THE 2007 SEASON FOR NON-VIOLENCE BEGINS
JANUARY 30 and continues through April 4. This
period of time has been set aside to hold the idea of
a world of peace in our daily actions and thoughts.
Campaigns across the country and the world will
promote nonviolence as a mean of transforming and
empowering lives and communities.
Tampa Unity is proud to endorse two NVC events in
February. On Friday, February 9th, from 7:00 pm to

communication. He will also conduct workshops on

Swift Road, Sarasota. Visit www.nvcsarasot

INSPIRATIONAL ILLUSION
TAMPA UNITY’S INSPIRATIONAL MOVIE SERIES
CONTINUES WITH ILLUSION - STARRING KIRK
DOUGLAS! This is a first run movie soon be shown in
theaters across the country. You can see it first,
right here at Tampa Unity.
Legendary film director DONALD BAINES lies dying
alone in his private screening room, watching the
films he has devoted his life to creating. Having
isolated himself from family and friends, he now
regrets many personal sacrifices. The rejection of his
illegitimate child, CHRISTOPHER, brings him the most
pain. Late one night, Donald is awakened by the
ghostly image of Stan, a favorite editor who has been
dead more than 35 years. Suddenly Donald finds his
deathbed transported to an old movie house. Stan
informs Donald that he has come to help and he will
show him three films each representing a different
period of Christopher’s life.
This is a story of redemption, forgiveness,
compassion and soul brought to life with both brilliant
storytelling and cinematic effects.
Illusion will be shown in the Sanctuary at Tampa
Unity on Friday, March 23 at 7 pm and on Sunday,
March 25 at 4 pm. Tickets are a $10.00 love offering.
Anyone interested in volunteering to help with the
movie series (taking tickets, etc...), please contact

NEW SMOKING AREA
TO BETTER SERVE EVERYONE WHO ATTENDS OR
VISITS TAMPA UNITY CHURCH, we are creating a
designated smoking area away from the children and
entryways to our facilities.
We have notified all groups who rent our classrooms
during the week about the designated smoking area
and have removed all ashtrays from the courtyard
and the entrances.
This insures that only those who choose to smoke will
be inhaling and those of us who choose not to smoke
won’t be exposed to second hand smoke. We love
each and every one of you and hope that this
important change meets everyone’s needs.
Clara McLaughlin sends a big
THANK
